Product Portable Breast Scanner
Description and Applications
The portable breast scanner is designed to detect breast cancer with the help of radio-frequency technology that identifies contrasts between normal and cancerous breast tissues. Cancerous tissues have higher conductivity and permittivity to radio frequency than normal tissues, leading to a distinctive scan that appears in red on the screen. Unlike conventional mammography, which involves a delay before a diagnosis can be made, the portable breast detects the presence of a tumor through real-time video images within seconds. Relative to mammography, the portable breast scanner is also expected to have higher rate of accuracy for women younger than 50.
